To comment on an agenda item during a Regular Business meeting
When an agenda item comes up for consideration by the Council, the Mayor will invite public comment prior to Council deliberation. Speakers are given three minutes to address the Council on that agenda item.
To comment on proposed legislation
The City Council schedules Public Hearings prior to the adoption of proposed legislation. Public Hearings are advertised in advance and all interested parties have the opportunity to be heard.
Written comment for an agenda item or for a public hearing may be submitted in writing prior to the Council meeting. In order to be received by the Council as part of the record, the comment must include the specific agenda item to which it relates and the full name and address of the person submitting the comment. Written comment should be addressed to the Mayor and City Council, and submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting to cpmc@collegeparkmd.gov
