Opportunities for Public Comment:
To comment about a topic that is either on the Consent Agenda, or is not on the agenda: Speakers are given three minutes to address the Council during “Public Comment on Consent and Non-Agenda Items.”
Public comment is taken during “Comments from the Audience.” Speakers are given three minutes to address the Council.
To comment on an agenda item listed under Public Hearings including legislation: When the Mayor invites public comment, speakers are given three minutes to address the Council. Everyone will have the opportunity to be heard. The Council may take action on the item at the conclusion of the Public Hearing, or may take action at a later time.
To comment on an Action Item: The Mayor will invite public comment prior to Council deliberation. Speakers are given three minutes to address the Council on that agenda item.
You may park for free in the Downtown Parking Garage located at 7306 Yale Avenue to attend Council meetings.
Written comment for an agenda item or for a public hearing may be submitted in writing prior to the Council meeting. In order to be received by the Council as part of the record, the comment must include the specific agenda item to which it relates and the full name and address of the person submitting the comment. Written comment should be addressed to the Mayor and City Council, and submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting to cpmc@collegeparkmd.gov
