Davis Hall 

Rental of Davis Hall, located at the Public Works Building, 9217 51st Avenue, College Park, is arranged by the City Clerk’s office.  Primary use is for meetings of City advisory boards.  Private events are considered for residents only and are dependent upon the availability of a building attendant.  

The Department of Public Works is open M-F, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.   After Hours:  Weekdays after 4:00 p.m., or Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.  No use on Sunday.

  • Alcohol is permitted on premises; special provisions apply
  • No open flames (i.e. candles) are allowed
  • The City's Noise Ordinance applies to all events

Security deposit:  The security deposit is required to cover any damage to the Facility and/or its contents, and any failure to follow the Rules for Conduct and Use listed on the application.  The security deposit will be refunded approximately two weeks after an event if the Facility is used in accordance with the Rules for Conduct and Use.

Old Parish House

Rental

Rental of the Old Parish House, a City-owned facility at 4711 Knox Road, College Park, is arranged
by the City Clerk’s office.  The facility may be used for private events such as meetings, receptions and parties by residents only.

The Old Parish House was built in the early 1800s and is located in a residential neighborhood with limited on-street parking.  The Old Parish House is suitable for Private Events such as meetings, receptions and parties.  Private events are considered for residents only and are dependent upon the availability of a building attendant. 

  •  Maximum Capacity is 100
  • The Mayor and Council have granted prime tenancy of the Old Parish House to the College Park Arts Exchange, which will be considered when there are conflicts in scheduling.  
  • Private events are considered for residents only and are dependent upon the availability of a building attendant.
  • The Building closes at 11:00 p.m., no exceptions.
  • The Kitchen has a residential-grade stove, microwave and refrigerator.
  • The Building meets ADA accessibility guidelines.
  • Alcohol is allowed; special provisions may apply.
  • A Piano is available.
  • The City’s Noise Ordinance applies to all events.
  • 80 metal folding chairs
  • 30 3x3 feet folding tables that can be arranged as needed
  • UMD-College Park Metro station is three blocks away
  • On-street parking available, permits will be provided
  • No open flames (i.e. candles) are allowed
  • Nothing may be attached to the walls

Youth & Family Services

Rental at YFS - Recreation Side, 4912 Nantucket Road, is arranged by the City Clerk’s office. 

This Facility is not available for private events.  The Facility will be available free of charge for meetings of College Park civic organizations, approved charitable organizations and clubs whose membership is comprised of a majority of College Park residents.  This facility is best suited for small community meetings, rather than parties.  Because this Facility is shared with M-NCPPC, there are certain rules regarding the existing equipment and supplies that must be followed.  Further details can be found on the Rules and Regulations/Rental Usage Permit Application.

The Recreation side of the Youth & Family services building is used primarily by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.   When not in use by M-NCPPC, it is available for meetings of local neighborhood groups.  The room contains equipment and supplies belonging to M-NCPPC that may not be used, moved or disturbed.  The Facility is not available for private events.  .  Available hours vary depending on M-NCPPC programming.   For details, please contact the City Clerk’s office.
