The Public Services Director serves as liaison to public safety agencies. The Public Safety program utilizes available public safety resources in efforts to enhance the personal safety of City residents and businesses. Communications are maintained with county, state, park, transit and university public safety agencies (e.g., Police, Fire, EMS & Emergency Management) operating within the City’s boundaries. The Public Safety program supports the Neighborhood Watch and other Citizen Corps programs such as the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This program supports public crime prevention training and public information at community safety events, including National Night Out and College Park Day. For more information on these programs contact the Public Safety Officer at 240-487-3570.
